KazGeo Technical Mountaineering Team Expedition
The expedition of the Kazakhstan National Geographic Society’s technical mountaineering team focused on conquering highly complex high-altitude routes, developing high-performance domestic mountaineering, and conducting detailed research on hard-to-reach mountain systems requiring specialized equipment and supreme qualifications.

Conquering Altitude and Elements
The team comprised experienced mountaineers, mountain rescue specialists, and KazGeo researchers. They ascended unclimbed or technically demanding peaks of the Tien Shan and Pamir-Alai. The expedition took place in severe meteorological conditions: vertical ice walls, strong winds, thin air, and avalanche risks required flawless coordination, strict discipline, and the application of advanced safety technologies.
Development of Mountain Tourism
Beyond the sporting dimension, the mountaineers carried out vital scientific and applied tasks: visual monitoring of glacier conditions, refining cartographic data, and assessing prospects for establishing new safe routes for mountain tourism. The project became a shining testament to courage, teamwork, and loyalty to the traditions of the Kazakhstani mountaineering school.
