’24 Hours in the Embrace of Nature’ Project
The environmental, social, and youth initiative of the Kazakhstan National Geographic Society, ’24 Saǵat Tabiǵat Qūshaǵynda’ (24 Hours in the Embrace of Nature), aimed to combat digital addiction, promote a healthy lifestyle, and reconnect humans with primal roots through conscious unity with the environment.
A Day Without Gadgets
The project rules were strict yet exciting: participants spent a full 24 hours in picturesque natural locations away from urban hustle, completely abandoning smartphones, tablets, and the internet. The program included hiking, wilderness survival workshops, ecological cleanups, and evening astronomical observations by the campfire.
Fostering Ecological Culture
The project practically demonstrated the importance of preserving the silence, purity, and harmony of nature, training youth to value live communication, treat every tree with care, and realize their personal responsibility for planetary ecology.
